Lullabies....

Lullabies...I don't think there exists a soul who hasn't heard one. How ironic! These 'lullabies' are so soothing that they fasten our sleeping process when we are kids. But as a grown-up, whenever I hear one, it keeps me awake through the night. I just can't sleep. I hardly remember a time when I have heard a 'lullaby' and I didn't have that glitter in my eyes and still a smile on my face. They bring back loads and loads of memories. They make me feel homesick and sad in such a contentious way! I feel so sad yet so happy. So magical and heart touching they are, that they stop your tears and with changing times, make you cry....

Character Watch

"What's up? If it's massive spiders again I want to eat breakfast before-"

Ronald Weasley. This character is so smartly stupid! There’s a lot of immaturity about Ron, and that’s where a lot of the humor comes from.  He is fiercely loyal. Ron has flaws, like everybody else, but they only make him more human and lovable. His character is real, trying to make it in the world, trying to fit in and find his place. I think he is one of the bravest characters in the books because he chooses to be there.

Octaves Around....

People are like songs.
Just like at times, we like a song the very first time we hear it, we get along with some people at the very first meet. And then, there are some you loathe at the very sight. Some are like those temporary favourites  and some are those evergreen melodies, which you will just love more and more... There are a few who are nice but not 'your types' and few peculiar ones that you enjoy but the crowd doesn't. And then how can you forget the 'party beats' and some 'sad mourns'.
Some are imitating apes of those super hit tunes and some are so original but so undiscovered....
So, people-are-like-songs....    :D

Quill's favourite word

What word could possibly be more perfect than serendipity? It is my most favorite English word. It rolls of the tongue with a rhythm and I like the sound of it. Serendipity means making fortunate discoveries by accident. What a lovely idea! The possibility of serendipity allows me to roll with the punches and make the best of situations.

Serendipity is meeting someone         who is  going to be your best friend forever

Do you have any such favourite word ?

Kitchen Kit

I love kitchenware that is fully functional yet stylish. Every time I see a stylish kitchen tool in a cookery show, I want to have it for my kitchen.  I think I can never have too much of kitchenware. Some of these items infuse me with good mood. They are so beautiful even if you don’t use them.

I just love the feel of a good, solid chopping board.

How tasteful is this storage jar !

Mezzaluna. This one is inspired from a cookery show. It is so called because it means half moon in Italian. Because both hands are off the chopping surface, this one is really very safe for the beginners.

A Colander like this is fantastic for draining purposes.

They make the best wall hanging for a kitchen.

Teapots seem to belong to an elite class!

I have never seen any of such plush looking cookware being used extensively in my household. If I were to cook as regularly as my mom does, I just want all those fantastic kitchen products in my kitchen.
