My super mom

There was a time when I used to write essays on 'My Mother' in school.
But it is now that I understand the true essence of her strength.
A kind of strength that keeps her going on when everyone else has given up.
My mother has transformed herself into a super mom after my Dad passed away.

Or may be she has just upped her super power more.
She has adapted herself into the roles of Chief Finance Officer, Domestic Engineer, Maintenance Manager and Negotiating Agent of our house and her willingness to manage these roles amazes me.
Not only can she think in the times of crisis but can also reason well.
Dad used to drop me at the bus stop early in the morning. Now, she does.
Dad used to mail me the scanned copies of documents which I forgot to bring back. Now, she does.
Dad used to instruct the carpenter on how to fix the door latch. Now, she does.
Dad used to make sure that we go on outings on weekends. Now, she does.
Twice the work. Twice the stress. Twice the tears.
She endures it all.
And as they say, a worried mother does better research than the FBI.
I cannot belittle her ability to cope up by thanking her.
I can just say that it really feels great to have a super mom.

  1. I am a bit jealous of you.......

God has given mothers certain powers which helps them rise above their normal abilities. It's said - God created mothers because God itself cannot be present everywhere.

Wish I could have appreciated my mom while she was amongst us. Sometimes it is certainly too late to mend.
