I received a prize today. It felt as if I were back in school. Everyone clapped when I got that typical looking ‘gift wrapped’ box. The office HR had arranged a series of events and games to celebrate Women’s Day. I was one of the winners of the ‘Guess the Price of the Product’ game. Mine was just a wild guess which turned out to be correct.
I felt a bit funny when different people guessed the cost of the same product with a difference of almost hundred rupees. Do we ever give a thought to the price of every small product before dumping it into our shopping cart?Or is it just about choosing our favourite from the enormous variety? The next time I am going to the mall, I am actually going to read the price of every tiny item I put in my cart. Economic awareness you see ;)
