Will God be Great ?

He used to enjoy watching the news.
He used to debate competently on various topics with us .
He used to plan and execute all our vacation outings.
He used to take us on long drives just like that.
He used to make excellent dosas.
He used to be a problem solver in his office.
He used to chat with us like a friend.
He used to advise about stocks and shares brilliantly.
He used to drop me at the bus station at 5 am
He used to speedily overtake the bus if we missed it and ensured that I got in.
He used to cut watermelon into neat pieces and offer them to us.
He used to make coffee to make our late night talks more interesting.
But then, one day he had a brain hemorrhage.
He is unable to speak now.
He is unable to read or write.
He is too weak to walk fast.
He does not go to the office.
It’s been 376 days now that we have talked like before.
He appears to be too frustrated and defeated.
He does not participate in our talks at the dinner table.
But he still cares for us. His twinkling eyes speak a lot.
He smiles when we go home every weekend.
We love him. He loves us. But there is a lot missing.
I hope God will be great.
What we need is our normal Dad back.
